The latest for Renaissance Magazine's fitness column, this time about exercises for brain health! I'm always grateful to AD Josiah Gordon for the opportunity to revisit these characters.

 

Cottage Life

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Taylor Kristan again last year, who was the designer at Hambly & Woolley who first brought me on to Renaissance Magazine's exercise column. I worked with Taylor at Cottage Life recently on an unusually technical illustration to showcase a bit of boat tech—the gear puller.

I was asked to update the illustration for Proper Cloth's Guide to the Perfect White Shirt, which was great! I enjoyed illustrating the last one back in 2021, and it was a pleasant surprise to be asked to re-illustrate it this year. Harvard Medicine

This illustration was for an article about advocates and advances in women's health for Harvard Medicine. On the left was the original submitted illustration, then on the right is the edited version that went to print. It felt like a bold move to leave all of the door and the background the same colour, but Paul DiMattia knows what he's doing and once the type treatment was applied and it was put into the spread, it worked so much better than the original high contrast version would have.
